Having gotten over $150 billion in bailout money, insurance giant AIG is now trying to take back millions they – oops – gave away for health care for homeless children, meals for the elderly, youth baseball and other questionable causes. They are going to court to seize a $490 million charitable endowment, including $27 million given out, so they can pay their executives obscene salaries and bonuses that dwarf what the homeless kids got but may now lose.
